I have been building like crazy. All my spare time is spent asking Claude Code to make stuff and having a tool that actually makes stuff that works is so addictive. Maybe one day we’ll call vibe coding ‘Clauding’. I hear Codex with GPT 5.2 is better but I haven’t tried it yet. We’ll stick with ‘Clauding’ for now.
There are a lot of people frenetically building like me. I think it might be years of pent up frustration at not being able to create what I’ve wanted to create, at always having to find someone to build and having to wait way too long for the smallest of changes. This is especially true as most of the coders I’ve hired have been in India or Estonia so there is also the time difference to contend with. It all resulted in The-Slowest-Iterative-Loops imaginable. The coding equivalent of snail mail before there was email. For someone who is naturally a product person and who likes to do a lot of iteration to get to the end state (i.e. me), this is hell.
But all that has changed now and there is no more need to hold back. The only thing that can pull me away is sleep, family, and token limit timeouts.
There is no doubting the fact that the game has changed and this isn’t like when everyone said chatbots would change the world. This is real, and its going to make a lot of developers and CS professors find new lines of work.
But for the rest of us, soon the only limitation on our ability to build amazing software will be our own imaginations.
And maybe some of that ‘all in right now’ energy comes from the knowing that they’ll eventually raise the price on these coding agents, maybe by a lot, given the amount of value people are getting out of them.
Either way, I intend to use that unlimited plan until they pry it from my warm, reluctant hands.
Check out my (soon to be added/linked) Coding page where I will walk thru the things I’ve built.
