Its a failed business idea that was on the right track but had the key market wrong and greatly underestimated the billions of dollars needed to get people to change their behaivor.

Back in 2011 I was riding the bus from DC to New York staring at traffic. As I looked out at the sea of cars on the highway I had a realization that many of the trunks of the cars were likely not full.

I realized we have networks of highways that connect every major city in this country to every other, cars that traverse those highways in every possible permutation of origin and destination. And I realized there were shipping companies that moved packages between all of these different points using their own distribution networks.

I was thunderstruck by this discovery and decided crowdsourced package delivery what the world needed and I was going to be the one to do it. And thus, in the fiery crucible of a sweaty, over subscribed Bolt bus, Piggybox was born.

Well... for a variety of reasons it failed to get any real traction. Apart from not seeing eye to eye with my co-founder, I lacked the funding needed to attract the drivers and build a state of the art technology platform. Did you hear Uber is starting to get into package delivery? As the saying goes: ideas are easy, execution is hard.
